Welcome
You have arrived at Skies over Atlas, a site dedicated to the greater understanding of the MMORPG City of Heroes. Here, there is not so much emphasis on the technical aspects of the game, as there are already sites out there which do a much better job of summing up how to play the game. Rather, this site focuses on the social and human aspects of the game, giving ways to better interact, collaborate, and communicate with fellow heroes. It is also geared toward making your playing experience smoother and easier.

May 14th, 2011 - Much tidying and writing is still going on behind the scenes here at Skies over Atlas. Currently, I am researching and preparing a whole new section on the Incarnate (post-level 50) content, just recently added in Issue 20, and I'm hoping that this will be ready by the end of the month. Still dealing with very limited internet access, so I'm doing as much as I can offline when I can't get to an Internet connection.
December 13th, 2010 - Whew! After much furious writing, editing, and screencapping, several new articles are finished, and several old articles have been spiffed up with images. Check out Learning the Screen Display, A Guide to Wentworth's, and How to Build an Enhancement for image-laden tutorials! Also in the mix, a very proud addition to the New Player Help section--the Screen Illustration Module! Hover over various areas of the (huge) screenshot to see a description of each area and its function. (I'm especially proud of this module--it looks cool and works very well!)
November 27th, 2010 - Once again, it's time for streamlining! I have edited, updated, and removed content as I saw fit, making the site an easier read and a more accurate repository of information. Notable additions include my article on difficult mission types, and the polished-up salvage list. Explore the site to find even more edited content!
October 21st, 2010 - I have consolidated all of my individual City of Heroes character sites into one new site--@Austara's Official Character Files! Visit to see all the characters I've created so far, learn their origin stories, character specs, and character development, see costumes, and even see their theme songs!
September 5th, 2010 - You'll notice that there's a Like Box for Facebook now displayed below the navigation--there's a reason for that! I'm trying to get more people interested in the Skies Over Atlas page. Give it a "like" and tell me what kinds of articles you'd like to see!
August 27th, 2010 - Going Rogue information will be up soon, now that the game expansion has officially released. Currently trying to develop an idea for a Praetorian hero so I can experience some of the new things firsthand and be able to write about them more effectively! Also, I have added a network link to the top of the page--since I own WithinMyWorld.org as well, I wanted people to know that Skies Over Atlas is a proud part of the network of sites I have constructed with my own little hands (well, fingertips, keyboard, hard drive, etc.).
July 21st, 2010 - Added the Mutant Pack information to the About CoH: Main Game and Expansions article! Information about Going Rogue is forthcoming--I am waiting on the final release notes to come out before I write up the article, just so I don't give out wrong information.
May 20th, 2010 - Updated the Emails and Tells article to reflect the changes made to the email system in i17. Also, added a whole new article, about the Friends List and how to make it work for you! Lastly, I added a few new slash commands for you to add to your chatbox repertoire. :D
April 20th, 2010 - Skies Over Atlas version 2 is up and running! You'll find that all the links have been organized into categories--click on the category names on the left side, and you'll open the page of links in that category. Also, there are two new articles within the brand-new Skies Over Atlas Editorials section--Doing Empathy Right and Helping Players: Not Just a Time-waster. Check these out for interesting viewpoints on these issues.
February 2nd, 2010 - Added a new article about making fun AE missions, both non-story and story-based arcs. I have also added a few more CoH sites to the Links page. For future updates, I am currently working on more social content, as well as adding a few more CoH pictures to the Tumblr page.
January 28th, 2010 - Added the slash command /petition to my Slash Commands article, and am still working on new social CoH content to add to the site as well. Visit the Twitter page, Tumblr photo page and Facebook fan page to keep up with updates!
